Movie Bright Star
Description
Andrew Motion, former poet laureate of the United Kingdom, wrote a 656-page biography of poet John Keats. This fact doesn’t sound that interesting until one takes into consideration that Keats died at the ripe old age of 25. The storied, legendary poet is brought to life again in Bright Star, a film depicting Keats’ three-year love affair with totally out-of-his-league rich girl Fanny Brawne. The affair ended when Keats died of tuberculosis in 1821. Bright Star has been garnished with rave reviews nationwide and, with compelling performances from relative unknowns Ben Whishaw (Keats) and Abbie Cornish (Brawne), it’s sure to be a favorite of hopeless romantics and poetry buffs alike.
