Chiller on Ice
Combining what are possibly the three best things in the universe—ice-skating, Halloween and Michael Jackson—GC3 hosts a Halloween ice-skating show, Chiller on Ice. Watch a group of local child and adult skaters get all Jackson on you—in a Neverland-before-all-the-hubbub way—for their take on Jackson’s classic blockbuster hit. According to Skating Rink Coordinator Tom Miller, who has had the privilege of watching rehearsals, performers will be bedecked in “zombie/ghoulish costumes” for the “Thriller” sequence. “It’s pretty cute. We’ve got some younger skaters, approximately 7 and 8 years old, and to see them come out and start to fall into the Michael Jackson moves for ‘Thriller’ is pretty fun,” Miller says. You can say hello to the show’s stars at a meet and greet after the performance. Then it’s time to hit the ice yourself for GC3’s annual skating party and costume contest. There you can finally break out the neat dance moves you’ve mercifully kept to yourself since last Halloween. (Rani Molla)
