’s at it again with their annual benefit art show.
To the unfortunate few who don’t know smack about the nonprofit, read up: Kindred Spirits is a retirement community of old-in-age (but young-at-heart) animals—an eldercare and hospice located 20 miles south of Santa Fe. It’s home to three mature horses, a whole kennel’s worth of senior-citizen dogs and a slew of fowl—the premises is sprawling with retired fauna.
The group exhibit features original work by New Mexico artists, with all sales going directly to the animals (food, meds and comfort). Plus, portraits of the animals are also available...and how can you say no to a glamour shot of a 28-year-young palomino? Upon arrival, expect an expert meet ’n’ greet by shmoozing canines Dixie Bell and Doodle.
